- The hotel reservation deadline using ECM discount is July 10, 2015
- The abstracts submission deadline has been extended until July 15, 2015
- The standard registration fee deadline is August 31, 2015., however please note that this applies for participants without contribution, while for those with the contribution, payment has to be settled till July 15 in order for their abstract to be included in the Conference Program and Book of Abstracts
Please, provide your registration, payment and abstract before these deadlines. The abstracts will be included in the Conference Programme and Book of Abstracts only after your payment is settled and not later than the July 15, 2015.
Guidelines for abstracts can be found in the Abstract submission web page. Abstracts for posters and oral presentation are both welcome. One person can submit more than one abstract.
The acceptance letter will be sent to you by an e-mail no later than two weeks after the abstract submission deadline. Should you need an official Acceptance letter earlier, please contact us.

The organiser of the 17th ECM receiving a carabid beetle sculpture at the 16th ECM closing ceremony in 2013 in Prague (Pavel Saska at the left and Lucija Šerić Jelaska at the right side of the photo). The sculpture is work of Tale Vermeulen from the Netherland and was handed to the ECM organisers in 2009, at the 14th ECM in Netherland. Carabus arvensis was used as a model. The above side is made of copper and the rest of the zinc. The sculpture will be handed to the next organiser in Primošten, Croatia.

Please note that the venue of the meeting has been changed from the previously posted one. As organizers, we decided to change the venue of the 17th ECM to be held at the Zora Hotel in order to provide the best possible conditions regarding conference facilities and the accommodation options. Please visit the conference home page for accommodation options and booking. We believe that this change will bring us all excellent value for better prices, as well as the conference canter fully adapted to needs of the 17th ECM.
We are pleased to announce first two invited speakers of the conference. Jean-Yves Rasplus, France, will talk about reconstructing biogeographical and evolutionary history of the genus Carabus, from multiple genes to pangenomic markers, and Achille Casale, Italy, will talk about diversity of subterranean carabid beetles in the Dinaric chain.
I’m glad to announce that conference proceedings will be published in the Bulletin of Entomological Research or Periodicum Biologorum. More information about the journals can be found on the web.
